Questions About Your Walk?

Everything you need to know about our riverside and Old Town walks

Our Daugava Embankment walks are typically 2-3 kilometers and take about 1.5 to 2 hours with stops for photos and local stories. Old Town routes are shorter at 1.5-2 kilometers. We move at a comfortable pace with multiple rest points along the way—there's no rushing.

The Daugava Embankment path is paved and mostly flat, making it ideal for walkers with mobility aids. Old Town has cobblestones which can be challenging—we always let you know beforehand and can adjust the route. We also build in plenty of benches and cafés where you can rest.

Spring through autumn are wonderful—May to September offers the warmest weather and longest daylight. Winter walks happen too if you're keen, but we keep them shorter. Each season shows Riga differently: autumn has golden light, spring brings the river alive, and summer's perfect for lingering on the embankment.

We recommend booking ahead so we can plan group size and share details about the walk. Spot availability depends on the season—summer fills up quickly while off-season walks are more flexible. Get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Comfortable, flat shoes are essential—especially for Old Town's cobblestones. Dress in layers since the riverside can be breezy. We suggest bringing water, a light snack, and a camera. In summer, sunscreen and a hat help; in cooler months, a warm jacket.

Absolutely. We organize private walks for groups, friends, and even families. You choose the route, date, and pace. Just reach out and let us know what you're after.
